Red, White & Black with Texture

Morning folks, hope all its well in the world on this Saturday morning.  Its been so cold here in the UK this week and due to turn even colder.  So wrap up warm if you are venturing out to those craft shops.  My daughter should now be in Switzerland now on her skiing holiday.  They left from school Friday afternoon and are travelling through the night by coach, euro tunnel and train.   I will update you all on her time through out the week.  I miss her already!!

As its Saturday time for another challenge over on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this weeks theme has been chosen by Jane. " Red, White & Black with Texture" head over to the challenge blog take a look at the rest of the design teams creations.

In this picture the background paper looks pink but it is in fact red.  I have used Heart Doily die set from Cheery Lyn.  I love this die as it always looks gorgeous and you get 2 die cut shapes from one die (Heart with small hearts cut out and a whole heart) The metal corner embellie I have embossed with white embossing powder as I am to inpatient to wait for paint to dry and works just as well.

This week we are sponsor is

The prize is a $10 voucher for the Digi Doodles Shop

Another Tilda from the new collection I adore her curly hair, reminds me of my daughter when she was younger.

Flowers have been diamond glittered as has the magnolia doohickey swirl.  The postage stamp you can see in the background is a new one from LOTV I love this sentiment set so much..

The black has been embossed with Cuttlebug script embossing folder and sanded to get that worn look.  All the edges have been distressed with my craft knife and inked over with Black Soot DI'S.

An inside view using more of LOTV stamps and Cheery Lynn Dies.

Lots of Layers - Sweet Stamps Challenge

Hello Bloggers, hope all is well.  Been a busy week so far for me and just managed to get my DT card done.
Over on Sweet Stamps challenge blog we have a new challenge for you and a theme and this week we would like to see "Lots of Layers"
You don't have to use a sweet stamp stamp to join in but if you do you will get entered into the draw twice.  The prize is $20 spending spree in the Sweet Stamps online store and with international postage we can all join in the fun.

I'm so pleased with the way this card turned out and loved the oranges I've used to  colour  her dress.  The stamp is called Watercan girl.  The butterflies are a die from Marianne Design which I cut out using plain cream card, glittered, shaped then added flat backed pearls to the centers.  I made the little tag using a Martha Stewart punch, the sentiment is also available from Sweet Stamps.

Sweet Stamps Challenge 29 - White on White

Good morning again this is my second post for today.
Over on
we have a new theme and this week its
White on White
You are allowed to use colour on your stamp.  If you enter you could be in with a chance to win a $20 spending spree in the Sweet Stamps online store

Here's my card for the challenge
I haven't used this stamp before and decided it was perfect for this theme.  So I went with an Anniversary card..

I always find these cards hard to do, I think its because you haven't got as many colours to play with.  But this stamp is perfect for this type of card.

I added a bit of sparkle around the edges to give the card a little depth and embossed part of the background.

Happy Monday

Good afternoon, its Monday again.  The weekends go so fast, it was my Daughters birthday yesterday and she loved her card.  I think it was also the money that dropped out when she opened it.  I can remember opening cards and loving it then a few pounds dropped out.  Doesn't happen very often now through ;D Anyway she enjoyed her day was really happy at all the birthday wishes she received on facebook from all her friends.
Onto my card for the day, I have been trying to make a card a day, but these things take time as I'm such a perfectionist.
I made an easel card again my family seem to love these cards I think its because they are a little bit different.

The sketch is from Sweet sketch Wednesday I love all their sketches and the Design team always come up with brilliant inspiration.

Crafty bits & bobs

Lets get on with my card
I have used the love Christmas papers from Basic Grey I think its called Jovial, this 6x6 stack is just heavenly, have nearly used all the papers.  As you can see I have made another easel card (I think I'm addicted).
Flowers are from Mulberry Crafts UK , leafs are Magnolia doohickeys and a suzzix swirl thin die that I brought ages ago on ebay.  Distressing inks, swirly clips and ribbon, buttons, lace from stash.  Circut machine to cut the circles and cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder.  Magnolia and Lilly of the Valley stamps.
The inside I have used the label die from magnolia and nessie labels, another sizzix die snowflakes that I got on ebay.  Martha Stewart butterfly punch I have punched out two butterflies each with the top layer being vellum.  You can't see the butterflies very well with the vellum them thought they would have shown up.
