Honey, Honey....

Hello peps, Happy Easter to you all.  Hope you haven't over indulged on the chocolate eggs..
So sorry I'm a little late with my inspiration today, but better late than never.
I'm going through a purple faze at the minute, can't seem to get enough.. lol
I decided to try my hand at the shabby chic style and came up with this card. Unfortunately the photograph's haven't come out every good as the weather today is rather dull..

I will list and link all Cheery Lynn Dies used at the end of the post so all you have to do is click..lol

The border on the side is a favourite of mine and seem to reach for it all the time, its called the Frills and Hearts banner and is simply divine.  I used a crimp machine to create that cardboard effect and then applied white paint.
The smaller border on the other side of the card is the part of the frills and hearts border that you would normally throw away but I think its to pretty so in actual fact you get two borders for the price of one.  You will find that with Cheery Lynn Dies you can sometimes use the positive and negative cuts..

Here is a close up of the Cutie Fringe flower and the metal butterfly that I heat embossed with Shabby Chic Fantage embossing powders..
Copic Colours

BV95, 93, 91

I absolutely adore these new daisy strip flowers and the Rose leaf strip is also one of my favourites.. I have also used the Tiny things with wings die for the cute little bumble bee, see if you can spot it between the flowers.  I have again embossed using Fantage embossing powers. On the corners I embossed one of the corner dies and believe me when I tell you they look like metal..

This gorgeous paper is a new one for me, its from Maja Designs and is called Vintage Spring Basic and wow is it fabulous!!

Big, Bold and Beautiful Butterfly!

Hello Cheery Lynn fans.
This week I wanted to show you that if you are just starting your Cheery Lynn Die collection you only need a few to create a card..
I started with a 14.5cm square card and layered with memory box design paper.  I used the sweetheart frame die cut it twice then used the middle part of one to add a different contrast.
The other die I used is the Small Lace Butterfly with the angel wing I added a few ribbons, bow and pearls.  The outside of the sweetheart frame I distressed using Antique linen distress inks. The butterfly is cut using core'dinations card stock.
Hope you like my clean and simple design, with not a flower insight..
Don't forget to stop by Cheery Lynn Challenge blog and enter.  We have a new challenge every Monday and gives you the chance to win a $20 coupon to spend in the Cheery Lynn Store.

Happiness Held is the Seed...

Hi all, what a dull and dreary day we are having here in my part of the world, roll on the summer.

My project for Cheery Lynn this week is again a card, but I decided to use a sentiment stamp instead of a figure.. I'm in love with the new daisy strip, I find that these are just the perfect size (not to big and not to small)
I have teamed them up with one of the fringe flowers that are also fast becoming a favourite too.

The sentiment say's
Happiness Held is the seed
&
Shared is the Flower.
I've had this stamp for over a couple go years, found it hiding in the bottom of my door.

Summer Days with Friends

Hello again this is my second post for today, this time its for Anything Goes Challenge Blog and the theme is "Summer Days". This week Val is hosting the challenge so pop on over and join in the fun.

For my card this week I decided to try something a little different.  I'm not sure what to call this shape of card as I was just playing around with the folds and ended up with this shape. I think I'm going to go with the name triangle gate fold card..

I started by making a 14.5cm x14.5cm card then using my EZ board I scored at A5 gate fold on both sides to create the stand.  I decorated inside as well as the back.  My photo of the whole of the inside came out all blurry which is a pain.
Here is a close up of the lovely Tilda from last summers collection.
