Flowers, Pearls and Lace.. Oh My!

Hello Bloggers, what a strange weekend that was weather wise! Not much sun where we were.. Oh how I miss it!! Anyway enough of that and more oh getting on with my post.  Here we have my DT project for Anything Goes and our challenge for this fortnight is.... 

Flowers, Pearls and Lace.

We also have a Design Team call running, we are looking for all kinds of crafters so please head on over and take a look and enter.

I made this card for a commision for a lady at work a few months ago and knew it would be perfect for this challenge. I have got all three items on you just can't see the lace very well but its on the side under the sentiment..

April's Cheery Lynn New Release

Hello everybody, well its back to work for me today :( I really could have stayed at home and crafted all day  but alas I have to go to work... 

Well its CHEERY LYNN RELEASE DAY TODAY and boy have we got some fabulous new dies to tempt you with. Head on over to Cheery Lynn Store to see the whole new release..

I made two projects to show you so lets get this show on the road....
First up we have another mini canvas, this is to go with the one that I blogged yesterday

B307 - Sweet Williams Strip 

B292 - Fanciful Flourish Reverse

M7 - Silver Oval nesting stackers SM

I painted the canvas with Gold and cream acrylic paint and added some raffia round the edges.

For the flowers I first scrunched them up sprayed with water then carefully unfolded and dipped them into melted beeswax.  This hardens them into the shape that you want. The stamped image  has been heat embossed with about 6 layers then put into the freezer for around ten minutes.  Bend the cardstock slightly to create the cracked effect..

Onto my card for this week's challenge 

This stamp was created by our very own Jacqueline Hill I just love them and look fabulous coloured or left bare.  Jacqueline has created some gorgeous stamps and all are beautiful! She is so talented!! To see more of Jacqueline's Wildlife stamps Click Here

I used a mixture of copics and polychromos pencils to shade my image this week.  I'm really loving this method of shading as you can get such a wonderful effect. 

For the chipboard swirl I painted it in white acrylic, sanded some of the edges then added worn lipstick distress inks.  I then sprayed it with tattered angels glimmer mist for that pearly shimmer.  

I decorated the inside using design paper and dies.

Wedding Card

Good Morning I just wanted to show you a card that I made as a commission for a lovely lady.

It always takes me ages to make wedding cards, I don't know why. I think its because its the one day in your life that you remember and want everything to be just perfect.  So I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself to get it just right. But I'm really pleased with the way this one turned out.
