Checks, Stripes and Flowers

Hello everybody, gosh it feels like ages since I last blogged.  I have been having problems with my internet and haven't been able to connect.  Hopefully we are all fixed now. Today is the start of a new challenge over on Anything Goes Challenge blog the theme this week is "Checks, Stripes and Flowers". So head on over and join in. This fortnight we have the lovely Annette hosting so be sure to head on over to her blog and
leave some love.
We are also looking for a few new team members to join our fabulous team Click here to apply..

I have been neglecting my character stamps the last few months so this was the perfect challenge to dig them out and use my beloved copics which I'm sorry to say have been not used in a while..

Really love this cute stamp from Saturated Canary she is called Wallflower and is a dream to colour..

The sentiment comes from Lilly of the Valley.  The hearts are made from clay and mold, sprayed with Dylusion inks and coloured over with Creative Inspirations Paints which give a gorgeous shimmer..

Loving these lollipop flowers which have been made from coffee filters, distress inks and creative inspirations  paints. The centres are from Prima..
Craft Den's Website is still off line, hoping to be up and running soon.  Check out Craft Den's Facebook Page to keep updated.

Multi Colours

Hello everyone, haven't I a busy blog so far this week, today its the turn of Sweet Stamps Challenge blog
and our weekly theme is
Multi Colours
so use as many colours as you can.. We have a fabbie prize this week of a $20 spending spree in the Aladdins Cave called Sweet Stamps Store

I decided to make another wall hanging using my newly aquired crafting skills..
I used roughly 3 pieces of 6x6 paper from Jelly Bean Soup - Pumpkin Soup

Using my paper trimmer I didn't measure just chopped away so you have many different sizes of paper.

I roughly coloured the edges of my card stock with black acrylic paint then stuck the pieces down randomly
I black lined the edges, colour washed over the top with cream acrylic paint then coated with modge podge to seal.

The flowers have been cut using a Marianne designs die, stamped with a small flower stamp (see linky below for links) I have then dipped them in UTEE to give that wonderful shine..

The love sentiment I have used two microscope slides dipped them in heated UTEE to seal the edges..

Hope you like my make today..

Sweet Stamps Monthly Technique - Make your own Backgrounds

Hello everyone, this is my first project to show you today. Over on Sweet Stamps today is the 15th so that means we have our monthly technique challenge and this month the theme is " Make your own background"
I really wish I had taken a picture of my background before I embellished it as you can only see a small part. I used acrylic paints and a mask to create my background, I just adore these new eco friendly acrylic paints and the color I used today was aged gold..

Another new technique for me is gilding flakes. I used them on this rather gorgeous flower stamp from Sweet Stamps this stamp is called Summer Bloom.. The corner die has been heated embossed with black embossing powder.

Close up of the flowers I have used an pages from an old book to create the flowers I just inked them in Antique Linen distress inks before I dipped them into the melted beeswax. In the middle I have used card candi

Hope you have enjoyed my little creation today I'll be back later with my Cheery Lynn new release post..
Have a great day, catch ya laters...
