For the Love of Buttons & Bows

Hiya all, well I have had a very busy time of it over the last week I'll be glad when its the weekend.. lol At long last we have received some snow in my part of the world, it always seems to miss me :( I'm like a little kid the we do finally get it...lol 

Over on Anything Goes Challenge blog, its the start of a new challenge and the theme is Buttons and Bows.. and is being hosted by the lovely and extremely talented Annette.  

We also have a brand new design Team and boy am I looking forward to working with them..

Welcome to the team girls... 

Well I made a  wall hanging for my project today but donut me forgot to add any buttons so just pretend you see the buttons in the centre of my flowers ;0)

The base of my hanging has been made using Cheery Lynn Scalloped Squares (the largest size) the layer was die cut using the Silver square stackers.  These fit perfectly to create an even layer effect.

The rolled flowers are Marianne Designs in the centre I have added some german glass glitter.  

The fence is of course a Doohickey, just love this die!

These little beauties are brand new dies from Cheery Lynn and are called "Daisy Strip" and are just fabulous inked up and shaped.

I had such fun making this card, I'm so pleased with the way it turned out.. the embossing was quite easy to do and was a lot of fun cracking once it had come out of the freezer.

Here is a close up of the snowflake which has been make using the Embellishment #2 from Cheery Lynn. They are in fact suppose to be centres for flowers but I love to find different ways to use my dies.. I have added some glitter dust for the sparkle.

Right well I'm off to work, no children today but a refresher first aid course.. should be fun!!!

Let the Fun Times Roll!!

Hi all, well two days into the Easter Break and I have managed to get out of bed! this cough and coldy thingy has really knocked me for six!! but hopefully the worst is behind me and I can get back into the swing of things and back into my craft room!! 

Over on Anything Goes this fortnight we have a new theme for you all and its a nice easy one 

"Anything Goes at Anything Goes" so head on over and join in the fun! 

For my project this time I used one of the new Magnolia Stamps.  This one is called "Princess Party Tilda" The more I use this collection the more I'm falling in love with them.  

The butterflies and scroll works have been cut out in grunge board then distressed with walnut satin.  The paper flowers are a die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Morning all, I'm looking out my front room window and the sun is just starting to come up.  What a beautiful start to the day. 

Saturday means another challenge over on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this weeks theme is 

"White on White"

I find these challenges totally out of my comfort zone and really struggle.  Although I'm quite happy with the way this card turned out!

For my card I used another of my favourite stamps from Magnolia.  This Tilda is just so wonderful to colour. I decided to go for a purple theme which looks stunning against the white background. 

These hearts have been cut out using George basic shapes from the Cricut machine (I so should use this bit of equipment more) painted with Picket Fence crackle paint.  To get the holes I punched them out using my crop-a-dial then threaded narrow white satin ribbon through.  Finished off with a mini postage stamp sentiment from Whimsy.  The embossing in the background was achieved using a "Crafts Too" Embossing folder I think its called "daisy".

I've been working on my shading and trying to get the folds in clothes, getting there but slowly.. Roman wasn't built over night!! lol

Love - Sweet Stamps Challenge

Hello all, what you all up to today? I have work today until lunchtime then its home to get dinner ready then its a whole afternoon of crafting.  

It certainly is "Love" week this week over on Sweet Stamps with our new challenge "Love"

and remember we have a $20 prize to spend on stamping goodies in the store.  

For my twisted easel card this week I chose to use the dancing couple, its just so romantic and perfect for our challenge this week. 

I love the vintage style of these stamps and they pick up the ink beautifully. 

Here is a close up of the image that I coloured with copics using my favourite browns E44, 4t3, 41, 40 this colour just goes with anything and is so versatile.  

My Mum made me a few more crochet flowers I just love these! Thanks again Mum!! 

For the centres I used antique gold flower spacers and tiny pearl brads.  I have also used white acrylic paint on the flowers and sides of the card to create a distressed feel..

Hiya folks, so glad that its the weekend! Done the food shopping, housework done, laundry on, dogs walked and its only 9.00am! what a superwoman I am!! and I'm dreaming again..lol I have done the food shop and got the laundry on so I'm half way there.. time for a break me thinks.

For my card I decided to use one of the older Magnolia stamps but still just as cute.  The little pears I stamped onto shrink plastic and coloured with polychromos pencils.  Image is coloured in copics and I have distressed the edges with Walnut satin
