Cheery Lynn - Very Very Special

Hi all, Tamara here, Wow have you seen the gorgeous creations from the design team with all those fabulous new release dies. If not click here. All the dies are fantastic from new mini dollies, borders, tiny creatures, little boxes, words and phases the list is endless. If you are not going to CHA this weekend why not pay a visit to the Cheery Lynn Store to see all the new releases.

In the meantime take a look at what I have been creating this week

Cheery Lynn Dies
I used the long flower petals on the BAF to create a lilly flower shaped and distressed using inks. For the middle I used the embellishments #3. I had one last sheet of kraft left which I was saving for a special card and this was it. Kraft always looks wonderful on its own or inked around the edges in DI's

Here are some of the tiny things with wings, these are the dragon flies and in the picture below it the butterfly from the set.
Other Craft Items
Stamps are Saturated Canary and Lilli of the Valley Sentiment
Kraft, Coredination Card stock, Prima - Natural Garden DP
Distress Inks Walnut Satin
Lace, Ribbon, Twirly Things and Scrim
Here is a close up of all the flowers, I'm loving the new daisy strip. These flowers are just gorgeous!
Come and join us over on the Challenge blog for a new challenge each week for a chance to win $20 coupon to spend in the Cheery Lynn Store..

All Coved Up!! - Coved Rectangle Easel Creation

Morning/ Afternoon/ Evening Cheery Lynn fans and welcome to Thursday.  Very nearly the weekend and only 5 more days until the exciting May Release Day (Tuesday 15th May).  Sshhh... I'll let you into a little secret.. all the new dies are simply gorgeous!!! Can't wait for you to see them..

Making shape easels are so easy using Cheery Lynn Dies they are always so effective.  This week is a first for me a Coved Rectangle Easel card. It turned out so well don't know why I haven't made one before...

Cheery Lynn Dies I used
I was so happy with the way this card turned out and with the colours that I used.  I think the
greens and pinks go really well with the touch of brown.

I have carried the checked paper through to the flowers and added a sprinkle of glitter.  Just peeping out from behind the flowers is that gorgeous Lace Rose and Flourishes die.  I cut the rose off and just used the flourishes.  I really wanted to used the rose so I placed it peeping out from  behind the image.  So I got two dies for the price of one.. lol

This flower I have teamed it up with the Judy's Blooms die and the Roses sprinkled with glitter.

The inside of the easel card, love how this all came together..

Thanks for visiting me today hope you liked the coved easel card.  Don't forget to visit and enter into our challenge this week over on the Challenge Blog.  Our theme is "Shades of Purple" with a chance to win a $20 Coupon to shop in the Cheery Lynn Store.  Also remember to check out the Inspirations blog every day as one of the design team will have a new project to show you with new ways to use Cheery Lynn's fantastic Dies

Other Craft Items
Magnolia Stamps, Whimsy Sentiment Stamps, Nitwit Papers, Distress inks, Pearls, Brads, Scrim and Ribbon

Frame It!!..

Hello all, early bird start for me today! Here with another great challenge from Sweet Stamps and the challenge this week is... "Frame it" to use a frame on your project.  It would be great if you use one of the many frames stamped frames that Sweet Stamps stock this will get you entered into the prize draw twice to win an amazing $20 spending spree in the Sweet Stamps Store.

I chose to create a Kicker Card as the frame I used worked really well for this style, but if you have the chance, please do check out the other design teams makes they are all extremely fabulous!!

I kept my card quite plain on the outside as I didn't want to detracted from the frame and image (this was really hard for me as I wanted to embellish, embellish, embellish)lol..

Here's a close up of the image, really love colouring this stamp, great for practising shading skills and looks so pretty..
