Photo Inspiration - Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

That week when quick! Only two more weeks until school's here in the UK break up for the Christmas Holidays.  It only seems like yesterday when I started making my Christmas cards and I still have lots to make! Today is the day I start putting up my tree and to decorate the house WooHoo....

Over on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge we have a wonderful new theme for you that has been chosen by the lovely Kate  and that is using the photo as your inspiration..
A while ago I purchased some Nellie Snellen stamps from the Craft Den from the Dawns Stamp range.  I simply adore these stamps they colour up sooo well..

This stamp I think is called "Dawn and Critter" I have teamed this little cutie up with a few flowers from Wild orchid flowers, some gorgeous crushed satin ribbon, American seam binding and fab Gold ribbon from Prima.
I just love this charm, can you see the little parcel hanging from Santa's sleigh? just delightful! and you can just see the American seam binding at the top.  This is gorgeous ribbon and really takes well to being inked with your distress inks and glimmer mists.  I just left mine plain for this card which looks equally as stunning.

Here's a close up of the colours I used.
Copic Colours
G29, 28, 24
R39, 37, 35,
Y28, 26, 21
E19, 18, 15 (I think)

Again I decorated the inside on both sides. The sentiment is a Molly Bloom stamp and works so well on the inside.

Flowers, Ribbons and Lace.. Oh My! - Secret Crafter Challenge

Good Morning, well what a busy blog I have today with loads of exciting projects to show you.  This is my first post and challenge for Secret Crafter and boy am I excited!! We have a fabbie theme for you this week
"Ribbon, Lace and Flowers" I know we all love to use those elements on our projects so head on over and join in the fun.
For my card I made another shaped easel card, I just love these cards!
This was one of the first Nellie Snellen stamps I brought called "Christmas Time" I just love it! and that little bunny is just soooo cute! The biggest flowers I have dusted with twinkle dust then using stickles on the remaining flowers.  The icicle border is one from MD which I have glittered.  The Magnolia Dohickey label die is set behind one of the circle sentiments from LOTV.

Image has been coloured with Copics, sorry not sure of the colours wish I had wrote them down.  I think the reds are R39, 37, 35 Browns E44, 43, 42, 41

I only have a small piece of the natural raffia ribbon left and papermania don't seem to be making any more of it which is such a shame as its gorgeous and adds a beautiful touch.  So I use this sparingly. Behind the flower I have used one of the new dies from MD I think its called "Pine Branch".

Crafty Supplies
DP - Papermania
Nellie Snellen Stamps & LOTV
Flowers - Wild Orchid
Marianne Designs - Pine Branch & Icicle border
Cheery Lynne XL Stackers circle
Ribbon, Raffia ribbon and distressing inks from stash.
Lots of sparkles.

I also would like to thank Sharon of  Plumrose Lane for the fantastic new blog look. I love it!  Please do go and have a look at her fabulous layouts (many to chose from), tutorials and extras.

Hokey Pokey Christmas Criss Cross Card

Hello all, a quick post from me today just to show you a card that I have been working on.
I recently brought the new Nellie Snellen Christmas stamps from the Craft Den and couldn't wait to ink them up.  For this card I have used the gorgeous Hokey Pokey stamp.
Isn't she just the cutest! I love her little stripy socks!  I decided to try a bigger criss cross card for this card, I think this might be my newest craze!! lol The gorgeous design papers are from MME and are called "Merry Little Christmas" I have inked around the edges in "Vintage Photo" distressing inks. The flowers have been stickled and are all from Wild Orchid.

For the insert I love used various stamps, the tree and cute mittens are from Molly Bloom which I have cut out and coloured and the sentiment is an oldie from Whimsy Stamps all distressed with DI's

This is the back view of the pull out where I have provided a space for writing a personal message.  I flower at the top is a recent purchase from Lynne at the Craft Den and is from Magnolia Doohickey range called "Poinsettia"  I have also used a sliver charm and snowflake spacer to attach it to.

Copic Colours
G29, 28, 24
R39, 37, 35, 32
YR24, 23, 21
E59, 57, 53, 51
E11, 00, 000, R20

I love this wide checked ribbon just wish I could remember where I got it from as I'm getting dangerously low!! and you can't have a Christmas card without a little jingle bells!!
