Parchment the Sweet Stamps Way!!

I had such fun making this card, they say "A change is as good as a rest" and this worked for me! I was starting to lose my mojo and at first struggled with what I was going to create for my project.  When I started I didn't have an end result in mind, this card just seemed to create it self as I went along.  

For the frame I used the Cheery Lynn XL Coved Rectangle Stackers, Using the biggest die and the next size down nesting them inside each other and die cut.  You end up with a perfect frame with which to hide your glue strips.  

Here is a close up of the parchment (please be gentle) I haven't done much parchment work before and this is only the third time so its not perfect.. but I like it.lol I used Polychromos pencils and sandor to colour with on the backside which gave a gorgeous softness to the flowers.

Morning all, what a week that was! so glad that its the weekend.  Well over on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and this week our challenge it "Doilies".

For my card this week I made a New Baby Card for my cousin and his partner for the arrival of their first.  So a huge congratulations to them both.. 

I'm so in love with this die from Cheery Lynn called "Japanese Garden Lace Oval" it really stands out in that hot pink card stock. The little charm was a freebie.

Sorry I have so many photos to show you today.. 

I just had to make a scalloped circle easel card for this challenge, Pink and girly my favourites!!!

Used my favourite pinks R85, 83, 81

Browns - E29, 27, 25, 31

Skin - E11, 00, R20

I have used loads of goodies on this card its hard to show them all in the photo's but I will have a go and talking you through all of them.  On the photo above I have used some new flowers from Wild Orchid - hellebore flowers in white and pale pink, matched with pink cherry blossom, pink and white mini cherry blossom, pale pink roses and some gorgeous mini leaves.  All topped with stickles and twinkle dust.. 

More of those gorgeous flowers, seam binding and a organza flower that has been twinkled to with in an inch of death... 

and of course the the symbol of beast cancer the pink ribbon.  To edge the circle some gathered cotton lace.

The sentiment is a new one from Whimsy stamps and comes from their range of postage tickets and just thought it was a wonderful touch to the card.  Behind are a few MD butterflies and one of my grapevine hearts. 

This is the inside view with the flowers on the side and the swirls have be made using a stamp from Stempelglede using shades ink in satin rose . The papers are from a 12x12 stack from Tilda papers.  I used a cheery lynn die to create the easel card and pink raffia lace

Morning all and welcome to another Friday.  This week over on

Here's my DT card for the challenge 

I received some new Cheery Lynn dies in the post the another day from 

Sweet Stamps I just love this XL dies and they make gorgeous easel cards. 

This is an older Tilda Stamp I decided to try and use my older stamps as they are just sitting in the draw and get a little left out and I can't bear to sell them!

I have gone for pastel pinks, greens, lemons and blues for my card

The flowers below are grouped together with an organza flower which came as a 1 meter length so go quite a few.  I picked up from a lovely little shop in Colchester called "Birds in the Barn" they as yet are not selling on the internet but if you get the chance go and visit as it was amazing shop and the staff were really friendly.  

The little d-ring I have attached the ribbon to is really for hanging pictures with and has a hole where the brad is for the nail but I have found a new way to use them and they come in different sizes.  Love finding new ways to use different things, us crafters have lots of imagination!! lol  I have punched out a tiny heart and used crackle paint and distress inks over the top them just added a small metal flower. 

This is the inside of easel card and love the way it turned out.

Silhouette Ballet Girl ~ Sweet Stamps Challenge 15

Good morning, well its Tuesday today and that means a new challenge over on

 Sweet Stamps 

and the theme is

So a nice easy one..

Here's my Card for the challenge this week..

I so love working with stamps from Sweet stamps you always get nice clean stamp 

I have stamped the image using Shades inks available from Sweet Stamps, then used distressing inks all around the edge.  

I so love this sentiment stamp just so vintage! I used Shades inks again and distressing inks around the edge.  I also used  Cherry Lynn doily die.

Closer look at the flowers and butterflies, I added a little pearl to the center  of the butterflies to give them a bit of depth.  

and I just had to use a Cherry Lynn die for the oval for the inside of the card.

This card was inspired from Louise on "Just love to Stamp" with her gorgeous card. 

 I brought a huge pack of heat resistant acetate years a go but found it so hard to work with they got put in a draw never to be seen again.  I had never thought about using it as a card base.  So Thank you Louise for your wonderful Inspiration..

The World is Full of Magic

Hiya all, hope you are all enjoying the weekend.  Its been really cold here today but sadly no snow yet, just a cold crisp day.. I've been tucked up in my craft barn all snug and warm so the  cold hasn't really effected me.  

The card I want to share with you today was made with the Just Magnolia challenge in mind which is White + one other.  I have also managed to combine it with a few other challenges too!

The design paper looks dark pink in this photo but in really life it is red

The Magnolia stamp I used I brought last year on Ebay, I think it is from 2008 collection but I'm not to sure.

For the edging round Tilda's coat I have used puffy velvet. I think it adds a little something different.

Just adore the new circle sentiment stamps from Lilly of the Valley.  I was lucky enough to get my hands on them before they sold out.  I think they are back in stock now if you would like to purchase some.  The sentiment I have used comes from the Dreamy Days kit, its just perfect for Christmas.

I love decorating the inside of cards it just makes the card so much more.  I use pearly paper which I die cut so you can write your message on.

I have made yet another easel card I'm totally hooked, I found a loan Christmas tree charm that I brought last year.  It was screaming out to be used and it fits in nicely with this card.

 Love the Magnolia Doohickey label die, I have used it so you can slide it in and out to write a sentiment on and inked the edges in Tim Holtz distressing inks ~ fired brick and a gorgeous piece of ribbon that I have now run out of and can't remember where I purchased it from.  Nessie oval dies, borderabilites grand lace border.

Design paper is Tilda papers these are beautiful papers, you know the ones that you use very tiny piece, no scraps left..  Stamps are Magnolia, Whimsy and Lilly of the Valley.  The flower I made and glimmer misted it to add a bit more sparkle.  Snowflakes embossing folder from cuttlebug I brought my at Sir Stampalot  Tilda has been stamped on super smooth white card stock from Lilly of the Valley and it is brilliant great for your copic's or promarkers.
