Hello all you Cheery Lynn Fans.. welcome to Sunday. What a weekend I have had.. Friday my Dad was taken to hospital with pains in his chest. They have told us that it was a warning and he needs to start taking it easy! So as a precaution they are keeping him in for a few days.. I also bought a car which I am really excited about and now can't wait until Wednesday to pick it up..
Anyway that's my news, now onto my DT card for Cheery Lynn..
Today I'm going black and white as my theme..
Cheery Lynn Dies used
Judy's Blooms (for extra leaves)
I have been looking at the rest of Cheery Lynn design team and the way they create their flowers, as they look so realistic.. My flowers have been distressed using DI's in Black Soot. I used an embossing tool to shape the leaves upwards. I like the effect of the stamens inside the flower and in the centre I have used a small velvet brad.
I stamped the image using memories white ink and then embossed with Sweet Stamps white embossing powder. I then used more black soot DI's over the image to give it a weathered look.
Here's a close up of one of the flowers I used a bit more black soot on the leaves..
Other Crafting goodies
Stamps from Sweet Stamps
Distress inks - Black Soot

Thanks for looking today, be sure to check out Cheery Lynn Challenge Blog to enter the competitions each week. We also have inspiration from the amazing design team every day on both blogs
